4) When you look at their prices it makes you think there is a variety based on what you are getting done. Nope. I explained the style I wanted and the moment I said bride, they up-charged me...just because we were brides. It should be based on the difficulty of what someone asks for...not who they are in the wedding.
Totally transformed my hair when I didn't know if it could be saved. You can even tell the difference in the products they use. They take pride in their work and will not let you walk out of that salon unless they feel they did their best work.
5) They asked for some pictures for me to text them during one of the phone calls. So I spent a good portion of my time creating a very explicit document for them to make it easier. Then my stylist asks me what am I wanting today. Seriously? Why did I waste my time on the document I sent for them to know what I wanted? I was very clear with how my hair behaves and what would work for it. Look for yourself....go to Google reviews and you can see the picture.
I checked in with the desk person thingy, and was requested to wait. After waiting about 25 minutes, decided I had enough.
Paradigm is beautifully maintain and their staff is friendly. However, I found myself not only disappointed with them, but also frustrated because they were so difficult to work with. And here is why:
Made an appointment. Arrived an hour early, and politely asked if due to the rain maybe the stylist wasn't busy. I would call the two receptionists handicapped, but that would insult folks with disabilities. Basically, they both sat looking at me from behind the reception desk with mouths open, like they were awaiting their next meal to be a fly. Finally, they were able to make their voice boxes work and (after a long uncomfortable silence) advised me that the stylist wouldn't be able to take me an hour early.
2) Then on one of their phone calls they tell me that the stylist the put us with couldn't do braids. So we went out of our way trying to find a beautiful style without braids. When we arrived, they just gave us the next stylist who asked who went first, Paradigm had "assigned" us a stylist remember on the phone and now they are just giving me someone random. Then she asked if I wanted braids.....seriously.
No problem.
1) I booked my appointment with them 3 months in advance. I received 4 different phone calls from them, each with a different appointment time and I kept having to correct them as well as remind them again and again who was going to be with me. When I did my final check-in phone calls with my vendors, they had changed my appointment time yet again and I had to remind them yet again of what time I had arranged.
All I can say is Wow! Wont go back there. But still need a haircut. What to do, what to do?
3) During one of the calls, they were guilting me about the fact that now they have two more bridal parties to accommodate. I am sorry, didn't I already book my two appointments 3 months ago? Just because I only had myself and my fiancee doesn't mean we loose our appointment time because we aren't a large party?
I sashayed over to Red Robin for some food & fun, and to get out of the rain. I waited an hour, and then walked back over.
So I guess, you tell me why I am unhappy with Paradigm Salon & Spa.
I politely let the desk person thingy know that their shop was 25 minutes behind schedule. Again, blank look, and mouth open.
Went to find a new regular color stylist now that I've moved here from California and need a new growth touch up every 5 to 6 weeks. Walked in. No receptionist. Waited 10 mins literally not one person talked to us. They saw us there in the mirrors and it got progressively more awkward. If you don't want walk ins, and i wasn't even planning to get the color done, just make an appointment...put a sign up. I don't see the point in turning people away by not even giving a greeting. Completely turned off by their lack of professionalism. Looks nice from the pictures online, but the service is the worst. I will be taking my regular local business to another local salon.
I LOVE THIS PLACE. I've always struggled with my hair. It usually gets frizzy throughout the day no matter what products I use. And every salon I've gone to in the past would botch up something as simple as a trim and cutting some layers. For the first time, I actually want a hairdresser to cut and style my hair. Every time I go here I leave with the softest and most shiny hair I've ever had in my entire life. Prices are decent, but even if they were double what they charge I would still pay it to get the quality treatment they give!!
