Good Experience! They honored the price on tires I was previous given over the phone. Was in and out with the new tires in about an hour. Checked out front end, all was OK, they did not try to sell me unnecessary front end work. Would recommend!

I was less than impressed with Wesley and will never deal with him again. Will tell everyone I know that mentions vehicle repairs about my experience. NEVER AGAIN !!!
Went in for a new starter. Called asked the price for a new starter, $971.00, so we had Toyota towed in. Got the vehicle back, the next day noticed something leaking from passenger side of motor. Starting parking on cardboard to try and figure out what it was. After a few days oil light came on, it uses synthetic oil and that is why I could not figure out what it was.I had just purchased the Toyota 1 week prior to this happening and have never had a vehicle that uses synthetic oil, so this leak did not look like oil. Told my boyfriend about the light coming on and he came by my job to check my oil. He pulled the dip stick out and NO OIL was on the stick, he bought 3 quarts of synthetic oil and poured 2 quarts in and it dumped right out on the ground. My dip stick was not connected and for about 195 miles I had been driving with oil coming out of my engine. Had it towed back to Pep Boys on Front Beach Road. They put on my repair receipt that the bolt had backed out. For $971.00 I paid $90.00 for 12 month warranty for $180.00 starter. They took it upon themselves to use a Remanufactured starter, even tho they did not ask about either one ! Then when I called because I was really mad I spoke to Wesley the manager, he told me they gave me a complementary oil change , Said this was because my boyfriend had put regular oil in it. Nothing to do with the fact that the oil had been LEAKING OUT for almost 200 MILES !!! Are you kidding me! Then I spoke to the district manager Frank, he was under the impression that the bolt had backed out, no idea that the bolt was gone and the oil stick was hanging loose.
Mechanics have a bad reputation for taking advantage of people. For the most part I think a lot of auto shops have gotten better and many are honest. Not so sure about this one...
I went in for a simple oil change. Since owning this car I have never had an auto shop tell me I need anything additional when getting an oil change because I take care of my car and maintenance is always up to date. Pepboys one the beach tried to get me to change my air filter (which were not due for a change) for an exorbitant price. When I left the shop my car now has an annoying rattle sound coming from the dash that it did not have before bring it in. Needless to say I'm unimpressed with this Pepboys.
No one likes paying for car repair... But when you have to, this location has my trust. I heard lots of quotes and surprises given to customers during my 2 hour wait for my repairs to be completed. None of them sounded cliche or fake. In fact, I knew exactly what 3 issues I had already when I brought my car in for an oil change but didn't mention them. They informed me of the 3 things that needed repair. Nothing more, nothing less.
