This place is awesome. They always go above and beyond, the units are clean and well stocked w/beach supplies, and they staff is very friendly.
SummerHouse is the best kept secret in Panama City Beach. The property is very well kept and out of the craziness of front beach. Also Arianna and Tasha at the front desk are awesome. ❤️❤️
I’ve been staying at The Summerhouse since 1994 and stayed only 2 nights. It was absolutely my favorite place to stay but never again. Now treated like just a number and rudely told we only accept reservations for a 3 night minimum.
This is a great place. We have stayed here many times. The people are very friendly and helpful. The second bedroom has two queen beds in every unit we have been in. The view is great on the side units if you get on the 3rd or 4th floor and up. There is no public access, so it isn't as crowded as down on the lower end on Front beach Dr.
We went to this resort based on past experience and fleeing from Hurricane Irma. We usually go to Daytona Beach on week 36. Our usual destination was closed. SummerPlace seemed to be way more run down than the previous visit. We found one safe, working gas grill outside and the others were dangerous. The elevator in the center building was beat up (look up folks) and was kinda scary. The emergency stairwell looked like some homeless had lived there and it needed pressure washing and paint (as well as a few other common areas). When we needed a second trash bag in the kitchen (we stayed for a week) I was told at the front desk they did not supply extra bags, no more than one roll of paper (where it was needed most). So though we were safe from the "Storm" the Summer House could use some realistic upkeep effort. Good Luck!
