Although it was only 1 p.m. Server did not bring a lunch menu only the $3 to $5 higher-priced dinner menu when I was seated. Food was really good and the salad bar with a side of sliced brisket for $9.49 seems like a pretty good value. In talking with another guest new the restaurant there are apparently a number of other things that are included with the salad bar but are not routinely offered unless you're aware of them. Soup, additional bread, a hot chicken salad? And perhaps other things I'm not aware of. But as it was I got plenty to eat between the slice beef and the salad so no real complaints.
Time was 3pm+-. Waited to be seated over 10mins. and not busy, waited 12/15 min for food and they were out of brisket, coleslaw, and 2 other items. Waitress had to be ask for refills and meat was very dry and tough. Not at all the usual service and quality. I have ate at Sonny's for many years but this visit will probably be the last. I usually eat at the sonny's in Panama city. The beach restaurant needs attention.
Great place to eat for Lunch or Dinner! Friendly staff, good prices never a bad experience.
Why did it take me over a year to try this place? Get the brisket on a plain bun enjoy the flavors. repeat.
An average Sonny's but I did stand around for about 10 minutes before I was seated, and the restaurant wasn't busy. Food was good!
