Beware!
Superb!! We are more than satisfied with our 1 bedroom gulf view condo.Every thing we hoped it would be. The VIEW from our room on the 7th floor building 3 is breathtaking! The beach is beautiful and the lagoon pool was plenty warm and inviting! My 2 boys are in heaven. Thanks Edgewater! Looking forward to the rest of our trip.
I would recommend that the complex management consolidate maintenance services so there can be a consistent quality level of service and room cleanliness offered for the units that are rented.
Booked a Villa on Groupon a month before my recent stay 199$ for two nights. Not a terrible price. Flew into Orlando. Rented a car and drove strait 6 hours arriving at the hotel at 6am. They have plenty of Villas available being the off season so like every other hotel i visit i ask for an early check-in. The person I speak with explains that my room is ready BUT.... there is a cleaning fee, parking fee, resort fee, damage deposit costing me an extra 168$ Hidden fees you find out upon check-in!!! And sure. You can check in early. For another 20$ on top. They ask you to clean your own room. Pile all your sheets and towels up for them. Take your own trash out. There is no housekeeping during your stay. There are no pool towels provided. They told me to take my shower towel. So you have to wash your own towels to have a clean towel as well. It's not the hotel feel you want. Being charged for me to clean my own room is ridiculous!! Beware the hidden fees and the chores you get to do on vacation!!
On a positive note, the rooms are spacious and location is excellent.
The resort is very nice. Has beautiful lagoon pool. Small convenience store that sells Star Bucks and a delicious restaurant within the pool area. The only negative experience was with the people who rent beach chairs at beach front. They take up most all of the waters' edge. If your planning to bring your own chair and umbrella, you will need to go out by 6 a.m. to find a spot to enjoy. The chair rental company manager was rather nasty to my husband. He said no one has jurisdiction over him, and he owned the beach front. Otherwise, enjoy your stay!
The resort is very large, but dated. My room 3208 needs a complete makeover. I was told by the office staff that the owners are responsible for the upkeep of the unit. Items such as broken clothes washer knobs, mold in bathroom, no cable service, heavily worn furniture, unsecure front door and most of all, cockroaches have been a part of my experience.
The 1st room offered to me (Bldg.1 Room 208) was terrible. It needs upgrades and cleaning. I was moved to Building 2 room 408 and it was much better!! I think the staff needs to be more knowledgeable about the rooms on the property, and if they want to issue a room that's not upgraded then let consumers purchase it at a much lower rate.
