Great hotel all I'm all. I came to this place with my church and there was 5 of us in one room and there was plenty of space. This hotel is conveniently close to the beach and allows for a great view. It would have made 5 stars if the futon didn't have a pair of socks on it. Also if you extra commodities like soap, you have to go across the street.
We were rudely awaken by a roach crawling on us in bed at 3 a.m. our first night here!!! Mortified we called the front desk via our cell phone because the room had no phone. Chris answered, said he was in the middle of his night audit and would have to call us back, but not before he asked us what size the roach was!!!!!????!!!! Size was not mattering at this point. While we waited another roach appeared from the other side of the room, which we killed. A security guard with a flash light came looking for where the roaches were coming from. Really? That didn't matter at that point either. He stated he would report back to Chris with his findings. A little bit later he came back with keys to a different room. No one apologized, nor did they even ask if we needed help moving our things 3 floors down.
2016 was great. 2017 was very disappointing! Check-in was smooth. Staff was pleasant. Our 1st room (701) was beautiful and newly remodeled. It did have a slight chemical smell to it, but I figured it was from the fresh remodel. There was a great gulf view, but no balcony or window to open for fresh air. That was a bit disappointing. That night, around 11pm, my husband noticed something crawling around on the cloth headboard so we turned the lights on and saw a lot of tiny bugs. The staff acted quickly upon my complaint. Maintenance showed up around 20 minutes later to confirm it was bed bugs and we were imidiatly moved to a new room. The new room (1333) was an older one. The tub drained extremely slow. It had a great view of the trailer park next door, and a gulf view- if you went to the edge of the balcony to look around the building. We will be exploring different options for next year.
We stayed in Rooms 535 and 537. These rooms were emaculate!! Very clean and WELL furnished! The owners were amazing and even left extra toiletries for us. Plenty of towels also which is always nice. The best location in Panama! I won't ever stay anywhere else in Panama.
The couch was ripped, the white sheers were black on the bottom, the cabinet in the kitchen was coming apart, the pool was filthy, one lamp, carpet was grossly stained that we never took our shoes off, pillows were stained yellow and one had a blood stain, chairs on balcony were torn, table on balcony was full of cigarette burns all over it.... That's all I can think of at the moment....I only gave them a 2 because the young lady that checked us in and out was very nice and helpful. We will not be returning here ever again! Nor would I recommend anyone else to stay here!!!
My friends and I rented the 2 highest priced condos that this place has to offer for bike week Fall 2017. We paid for an ENTIRE WEEK!! We discussed LAST YEAR with the hotel, and several times throughout the present year about where we would be parking our trailers for the bikes. Last year we discussed this matter with management and everything was settled and we parked in the place that they told us to. This year we show up and park our trailers where we were told (once again)and the next morning we were told to move them to a completely different place that was very inconvenient and nearly inaccessible to us. 2 days later we were standing on our balcony only to look down upon the parking lot that we were made to leave and we counted 32 trailers!!!!!!! 1 trailer took up 4 spaces because of how it parked!!!! We spent lots of money to stay here, the floors were disgusting, the neighbor had 2 dogs that she allowed to urinate in her room and it stunk up the entire floor, and we were bullied in to moving our trailers only for other people (32 to be exact) to park their trailers!!! So apparently having 3 trailers of the people who are paying top dollar to stay here parked in a convenient place to the customer (as well as the fact that it was discussed several times before arriving) doesn’t mean anything to these people. There was a complete lack of communication between all of the employees. However, Sabrina was very pleasant and helpful (I must add this as she was the only employee there who was happy to be there and willing to help and discuss any problems in a professional manner). In any case we will not be staying here again.
