have been in this home Depot probably 100 times this year and 200-250 times last year. I don't usually ask for help because since we shop their so often we know where most things are. This day I happened to need nearly an entire pallet of wood. When I ask for assistance they sent over a forklift driver who basically picked up the pallet and moved it for feet and then walked away when I was asking for help getting it to the truck. upon inspecting the boards have raw edges and I began picking through to get boards that look the same so that my customers would not have a fence with board with raw edges. Once the forklift operator walked away and that angered me and manager came over and she was nearly as rude as the forklift operator. They were upset that I was picking through the boards instead of just taking the ones with raw edges. She suggested I take the bigger more expensive boards which also had these religious. My customers deserve nice boards. I realize the most of your ordering for lumber may be done online so the customer does not see the lumber until it's paid for and at their job site but I am not buying a bunch of extra boards just to throw some away. This manager needs to be educated and that forklift operator needs to be reprimanded because he was rude and lazy. I spent over $23,000 at this Home Depot last year but the second half of this year I will not be making purchases there.
Having recently moved here, I found myself needing new carpet. I went to Home Depot, as I had a 15% coupon to use. I had to wait almost 40 minutes to speak with a rep from the carpet department as she was engulfed in a training session with who I later learned was the Department manager. It then took another 45 minutes to get a quote, as the Dept manager kept interupting the sales person with questions. When we were almost done I asked the sales person to repeat the quote. She handed me a quote which had the wrong style carpet and my name was misspelled. I ask her to correct the information, which she did on the computer. I had to go over the order with her several times because she was so distracted. When I left, I thought I had gotten a fair price although I was disappointed with the customer service. She scheduled the carpet measure people to come and measure a few days later. I chose a carpet that they insisted could be installed within seven working days because I was in a hurry to move in to my new condo. The day before they were to measure they called to tell me that they would have to postpone the measurement for another week due to the hurricane. I understood that could not be helped. They scheduled it for one week later although I could not move into my home until the carpet was done. When the hurricane did not hit our area they called to tell me they would have to postpone it one more time from Wednesday until Saturday. I explained I could not get into my house and asked them to schedule me earlier. When they finally came to measure the young man was very good and called in the quote immediately. The surprise came when the company called me back and quoted me $600 higher than the original quote even though the measurements were off by less than 2 yards. To make this very long story short, I went into the store and went through four people only to be told that the new price was the price and that I must have misunderstood. When I kept asking for a manager, I finally reached the department manager who told me that she could do nothing about the misquote. She also stated that the store manager agreed with her making me feel as though I had lied about how far off the original quote was. I left the store very disgusted having been put off for two more weeks in my attempt to buy carpet. Then I drove down the street to a local carpet store, Carpet One, who had been in business for over 38 years in Panama City. There I met a woman named Crystal who gave me a quote on a better quality carpet, gave me wonderful service in 15 minutes, and ordered the carpet the same day. That was a Friday at 5 o'clock. By Tuesday at noon I had brand new carpet at a better price and a better quality than Home Depot offered. By the way, the manager did call me and try to make things right, but I am all about customer service and Home Depot did not deliver. In the future, I will stay away from shopping big box stores and shop local stores where care about their customers! This was a lesson well learned!
It's amazing that the locals are given drivers licenses. The sheer fact that these people are even able to navigate their way to their job every day is a marvel of science. This store has some of the dumbest humans working at it. We ordered a washer and dryer and we were given a window of 7 AM through 7 PM for delivery a week after we purchase the products. My wife and I drove down to 30A from Atlanta to meet the delivery drivers. We were told that we would get a phone call the day before giving us a better time frame as to when we could expect the appliance delivery. We received a phone call at 9:30 at night evening before from a robotic service. They instructed us that our delivery would be between the hours of nine and 12. The next morning around 11:30 I receive a phone call from a lady at Home Depot's distribution informing me that our delivery would be between four and seven. we had two children with us who are very unhappy about having to wait around for a delivery another 7 1/2 hours when we had already wasted the morning sitting around waiting for the delivery. At 7:00 PM we had not received any more information from Home Depot and nobody had shown up. We were told by the lady who answered the phone that the guys were on their way if she would call us back with a more exact time. By this time everybody in the family is starving and we told the lady we would go get dinner. At 9:30 at night we get a phone call from the delivery drivers. The delivery drivers proceed to let us know that they will be at our house in one hour. 45 minutes later we get another call from the delivery drivers and they let us know that "we really don't want them to deliver this equipment because the metal bracket that connects the stackable washer and dryer together was not sent with the delivery". They told me that they could leave the washer and dryer in the hallway of my one-bedroom condo and we could reschedule installation for a week later. Are you kidding me? I wanted to stick the washer and dryer where the sun doesn't shine on those two dorks. The next day I reached out to management at Home Depot and they informed me there was nothing they could do about it that it is a third-party shipping service. What they fail to realize is I did not purchase anything from a third-party shipping service I purchased a product and service from them and they failed to deliver. I asked the manager what he was going to do to prevent me from canceling this order and he instructed me that he was not willing to do anything to discount the price for my headache time and frustration. So I canceled the order and purchased from Sears. I had to come back a week later to receive the second delivery from Sears which installed without any issues.

Treated lumber at this store very poor several knots just 1 out of 6 wood good...
Very good customer service. Every time I've been to this location there is always someone ready and able to assist me.
Original review-
Friendly staff. I would not recommend placing online orders with them from the store though. Always takes so much longer than expected for things to come in
