Gotta say. Was pleasantly surprised. Often times beach food establishments like this are hit and miss. I’m a local and don’t frequent them often because of bad experiences in the past. Lunched here with a client and the food was great. Grouper was prepared well, hush puppies were amongst the best I’ve had and rivaled captain andersons (which are famously fantastic) and the veggie of the day was also excellently prepared (broccoli). Location was second to none, right on the beach and there was a pool?!? Sorry, that’s just flipping awesome.
The staff was very friendly and good at keeping up the table service yet not overdoing it. The food was very good, a bit overpriced though. If your trying to watch how much you spend, I'd suggest eating a meal somewhere cheaper and maybe getting an appetizer and drinks here. This is a great place to bring the kids! They loved playing in the pool while waiting for our food and, with the pool right next to our table, we were able to just enjoy some drinks.
Amazing experience! Pool beside the tables so they children or adults can swim while waiting on food. Very child friendly! Food was hot and delicious. Staff is always on top of your needs and very friendly. We will definitely be returning our next vacation time.
I went on an evening with my wife and 2 daughters first it took forever to get our food, we had to grab our own utensils and napkins. When the food arrived it was way too salty and completely overpriced. They forgot one of my daughters drinks as well. Never got my drinks refilled, everyone around me was pissed because of the horrific service so it felt tense. I was told I would get a 10% discount because I stayed at a Resort by the Beach hotel and after reminding the waitress 3 times about it, she still didn’t put it in my bill. Never again!! The view is nice though.
It took ten minutes to get our server to us once we were seated and then it was downhill from there. Drinks were good but we ordered fish and chips and a dozen oysters. Our server came back and told us they were out of oysters and my wife ordered the platter which was good and came out in a timely manner... I never received my fish and chips or an explanation why. After two hours of waiting, I paid my bill and cut my losses. Server did as good as she could considering she didn't have any food to deliver to me. Won't be back...
